Taking DOPTELET

Your DOPTELET Dose

Everyone’s chronic ITP is a little bit different. That’s why your doctor will work to find the right dose of DOPTELET for you.

When you start taking DOPTELET, your doctor will check your platelet counts every week. Based on those counts, he or she will make adjustments to your dose. When you reach a stable level of at least 50,000 platelets per microliter, your doctor will keep you on this dose to maintain that level.

After finding a dose that works for you, your doctor will continue to monitor your platelet counts:

EVERY MONTH
while you are taking DOPTELET

EVERY WEEK
for at least 4 weeks after stopping DOPTELET

A Treatment That Fits Into Your Routine

DOPTELET is an oral pill that can help with managing your chronic ITP on your schedule. You can take it:

At any time of day

With any food, including dairy

If a dose of DOPTELET is missed, it is taken as soon as remembered. 2 doses should not be taken at once to make up for a missed dose. The next dose is taken at the usual time. If too much DOPTELET is taken, call your doctor or go to the nearest hospital emergency room right away.

It’s important to keep taking DOPTELET as your doctor prescribes. Talk to your doctor if you have any questions about how long you’ll be on treatment for chronic ITP.
